Seniors and our Children, the Perfect Fit

"Life is no brief candle for me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations." -- George Bernard Shaw

Thank you to all the schools in Ontario ansd Alberta for bringing smiles to our seniors with their homemade Christmas cards.

Our seniors enjoy the cards from children more than the gifts most times and because of this I am asking children to write stories in their cards to go with the gifts this year. It's a way for our children to communicate directly with our seniors. If children are younger, their parents can scribe for them. As a proud mother of a beautiful 10 year old son, I smile listening to his stories every day whether it's a lost tooth that the dog ate or a bug collection gone horribly wrong! All stories from children are perfect.

Please have your child, classroom or school participate in writing a story for the Children of Christmas Past.  The website will be updated to include as many stories as we can before Christmas.

Submissions can be sent to attention Jill Harrington.
